We are used to get positive impression by Moz work so far. Recently, they are pushing Moz Analytics beta version, and personally, I will rate this Analytics platform with grade 5.
Moz Analytics is getting the needed shape before launching, but I’m pretty surprised and even prefer this beta version before the PRO version. Besides, Moz automatically started to migrate my campaigns to the new Moz Analytics. Let’s see the features.
There are four main sections on the left side: Search, Social, Links, Brand & mentions. Default tab is normally Dashboard where you can link to all above sections and have general numbers of search, social and visits from referring links as well as visits from direct traffic.
I like the idea of including different kind of graphics in SEO tools…well, Moz Analytics has that.
Search section is most useful for me and one of the reasons I use Moz. Here you can find all the data for your search traffic, keyword rankings, crawl diagnostics and on-page optimization grader and tool.
Traffic from Search sub-section gives graphical and numerical presentation of visits from organic search. This is also available in the PRO account, but in Moz Analytics it seems more organized. You can see the keywords that sent organic search visits in a graph organized as brand non-brand (main or LSI keywords) and all other keywords that sent organic traffic.
The on-page grader is improved, the only problem is that it doesn’t provide duplicate page URL for example if you check duplicate URL of specific page.
Under Social section you can connect your Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ brand or business pages to monitor social growth and engagement. You can also track competitors’ profiles, and even most engaging posts and tweets. One thing that is not functional here is the setup for Google+ Page where you can actually connect just with our Google+ profile but could not connect Google+ page. I expect this issue to be resolved soon.
I cannot say much about Brand and Mentions sections as Moz is evaluating my query and need to wail 24 hours for collecting the data.
However, here you can setup your brand keywords and monitor your brand mentions. Also, another good thing is the ability to add and track competitor query so that you can see, monitor, and compare competitor mentions.
Generally, Moz Analytics is going to be all in one tool for monitor, and analyzing your keyword rankings. It can be used by SEO Companies and Webmasters for large and small projects depending on the subscription plan.
Moz is trying to stay No.1 SEO tool on the market and with its own Analytics platform, they’re doing the right job.
